ENG 0101 - intro to college reading/writing

This non-course based intervention is designed to help entering college students in a variety of college contexts that require reading, writing, and inquiry. It also dovetails with student reading and writing responsibilities in other college courses.

 

ENG 0102 - 1301-0301 extension

In this non-course based intervention, students will work with developmental faculty and STUDIO interns to identify strengths and weaknesses in their English 1301 reading/writing portfolios, and receive targeted feedback on how to revise their work to demonstrate college readiness in reading and writing.

 

ENG 1301 - ENG 0301 - rhetoric & composition 1 + studio (corequisites)

Students take a regular English 1301 curriculum paired with a supplemental class to increase time and support for working through and completing projects. The course also includes access to STUDIO classrooms, technology, and our student interns.

 

ENG 1301 - rhetoric & composition 1

English 1301 is designed to help students become more effective and confident writers as well as more active and engaged readers of complex texts. To do this, students will engage in a variety of writing projects which will help them become more reflective writers who are better able to revise their work to meet the needs of a given writing situation.

 

ENG 1302 - rhetoric & composition 2

English 1302 is designed to teach students how to initiate inquiry, engage in meaningful research, and produce effective researched arguments. To do this, students will get experience with primary and secondary research methods, engage in a variety of writing projects, and create at least one major research project.
